Thank you members, speakers, and hosts, for a wonderful 2023 season! It was great to see our members again virtually and especially in-person this fall.

We wish to extend our thanks to the speakers at our fall events for sharing their expertise with our members on some of the headline issues of the day. In October, Dr. Lisa Desai, Chief Behavioral Health Officer, MindWise Innovations, updated our members on the recently-published U.S. Surgeon General’s Framework for Workplace Mental Health and Wellbeing, and how we each can take steps to create a healthy and psychologically safe workplace for all. In November, Dr. Jenny Tang, Vice President and Economist in the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston Research Department discussed economic trends and inflation at the U.S. & Global Economy Luncheon. A special thank-you to Riemer & Braunstein for hosting the luncheon at their new offices.

Professional Development Events at Boston Women in Finance (BWF)

Our History

Eight women on Wall Street with vision, ambition, intelligence, energy and pride, formed the association in 1956.  The founding members were mostly security analysts—the first professional position open to women on Wall Street —and soon included bankers, brokers, traders, management consultants, financial analysts, portfolio managers, economists, and lawyers.

In 1995, the Boston chapter was founded.
