Curating your Digital Archives, Records and Files

  • 08 Jan 2014

Just because you can save everything electronically, does it really mean you should?  Too much information can overwhelm, whereas too little can omit important detail. You need to decide the right amount of information, and the sensible schema, to ensure your files are serving the intended audience, be it internal, external or self-use only.  Join us for a panel discussion on curating – the art of selection, collection and organization.

Panelists:
Natasha Espada, AIA, LEED AP BD+C, Associate Principal, Leers Weinzapfel Associates
, Architects in Boston, the 2007 American Institute of Architects Firm of the Year. In this role she has led many of the firm's award-winning projects. Natasha was recently the Director and Curator of the Women in Design annual exhibit.

Amanda Garces, Sr. Interactive Producer, Genuine Interactive. Amanda works with clients to ensure maximum impact for their digital presence including front-facing websites and back-end coordination.
Veronica Martzahl, Electronic Records Archivist, Massachusetts State Archives. Veronica has a Master of Library and Information Science. In her role she assesses and designs strategies for digital records management. Veronica will moderate this panel discussion.
