About Our Speaker

Dr. Larry Barton is one of the world's leading experts in risk and threat management.  For the past decade he has been the highest rated instructor at The FBI Academy and U.S. Marshals Service where he teaches crisis and risk mitigation.  A former faculty member at Harvard Business School, Boston College and Penn State, he served as President of The American College of Financial Services in Bryn Mawr PA from 2003-2013 and worked with investment and financial advisors globally on helping their practice better grasp the essence of crisis management as it relates to clients, natural disasters, regulatory hurdles, workplace violence and numerous other challenges facing the investment community.  Today he serves as the 24/7 retained consultant to companies such as Amazon, Fidelity Investments, BNY Mellon, Prudential, BlackRock, DTCC and other multinational institutions.  During high profile tragedies, he is the on air commentator for CNBC and National Public Radio.  The author of four books on the subject, Larry served as a Fulbright Fellow to Japan in crisis management.  A native of Arlington, Larry holds degrees from Boston College, The Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and Boston University.  You can read more about him at larrybarton.com or Wikipedia: larry barton
