Join us to learn how the New Government Tax Cuts and Jobs Act Bill will affect you. This is the largest overhaul of the U.S. Tax code in 30 years.  What are the major changes for individuals, businesses and estates?  Who will it benefit? 

Our panelists include:

Zara Muradali is a Lead Tax partner in KPMG's Boston office.  She has 20 years of public accounting experience serving  multinational as well as inbound companies in the media and entertainment, pharmaceuticals, biotechnology, software, manufacturing, and medical device companies. 

In her role as the Lead Tax Partner, she oversees the entire delivery and management of tax advisory projects to ensure both KPMG and professional standards are followed throughout the engagement and that we satisfy all client service expectations. 
  
Zara has provided tax compliance and consulting services for 20 years. Her experience includes assisting clients with design and development of tax functions, carve-out accounting, ASC 740 income tax reserve analysis, and cash tax planning. She also has experience in performing accounting methods and credits diagnostic studies to increase cash flow through risk mitigation and/or potential tax planning as well as assessing the impact of IFRS conversions.

Zara has served as technical advisor, IRS exam strategist and Tax Account Leader on a number of multinational and inbound companies.  She also served as the ASC 740 Business Tax Leader for a Big Four accounting firm. 
  
 She is a member of the AICPA, MA Society of CPA’s.  Graduated with a BA from the University of Massachusetts and a MST from Northeastern University Graduate School of Business

Allison McCarthy is a Partner at Riemer Braunstein law firm.  Allison's practice focuses on the area of trusts and estates.  She is skilled at assisting families with the preservation and transfer of wealth through a variety of mechanisms, including prenuptial agreement, lifetime gifts, and estate plans.  Allison assists clients in choosing and implementing estate planning techniques which best suit them, including revocable trusts, irrevocable insurance trusts, irrevocable gifting trusts, charitable trusts, and private foundations.  Her practice also encompasses both estate and trust administration, including advising fiduciaries with administration and distribution issues.  She also represents both fiduciaries and heirs in probate litigation matters.

Susan McCarthy, CPA, MST, CSEP.  Treasurer for BWF Board.  She works closely with her clients to help close the gap between setting their goals and accomplishing them through collaboration, advocacy and education as their CPA, Consultant, Estate Planner and Advocate.  She works with a variety of clients including small businesses, nonprofit organizations, elders and individuals.  She has over 30 years' experience she is licensed as a CPA in MA, has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, a Master's in Taxation and an estate planning certification.
