On Gratitude and Grace This Holiday Season

20 Dec 2021 11:48 AM | Anonymous member (Administrator)

At this time last year, we talked about gratitude. How grateful we were for the small moments, for warmth and kindness, and for the little victories in our everyday lives. To celebrate the small because the big just seemed so insurmountable.

And while we're still practicing gratitudes, we're also practicing the gift of grace. Giving grace to others, and most importantly, giving grace to ourselves. Giving ourselves the space and strength to be vulnerable, to trust, and to allow oneself to have good and bad days. To just breathe.

It's not easy, and some days, it seems almost impossible. But then, sometimes with a little help from our friends, we take a breath, step back, and when we're ready, we persevere. That's who this amazing community is - a group who reminds each other from time to time to give yourself some grace.

There's so much that we're looking forward to in 2022 with you. We have new board members to welcome, amazing new Inspire Scholars to get to know, and new events coming that we can't wait to see you at. We're also hoping to plan a new in-person get together in the spring.

We can't wait to see you, to welcome you, and to celebrate you next year. We hope you give the gift of grace to yourself this holiday season, and remember the mighty and inspiring person that you are.

All the best,

Becky Blackler, President, and the Board of Boston Women in Finance
