BWF Inspire Scholarship

The BWF Inspire Scholarship

Boston Women in Finance (BWF) is committed to providing minority women the opportunity to succeed in the business world.  The goal of this scholarship is to inspire, motivate, support, and elevate these women in their pursuit of a career in the financial industry.

The recipients of this scholarship will be awarded a $500.00 check, a one-year membership in BWF and free attendance at all BWF events (November 2021 – October 2022).

All applicants should include their full name, e-mail address and mailing address with their submissions as well as the name of the school they are currently attending.


Deadline: October 15, 2021

Scholarship Details

    • $500.00 check.
    • One year membership to BWF.
    • Free attendance at all BWF events (excluding events serving alcohol if scholarship recipient is under the age of 21).
    • One BWF board member and one BWF general member assigned as mentors to each recipient.

One scholarship will be awarded in each of the following categories:

    • Associate’s Degree candidate at an accredited Boston area college who has completed at least half of her academic credits toward her degree.
    • Bachelor’s Degree candidate at an accredited Boston area college who is entering her junior or senior year of college.
    • Graduate or professional degree candidate at an accredited Boston area college.

Applicants must be minority women who satisfy the following criteria:

    • Must be a degree seeking student enrolled at an accredited Boston area college or university.
    • Has a cumulative Grade Point Average: 3.0 or higher (out of 4.0).

Please complete and return the attached BWF Inspire Scholarship Application As a reminder, please include proof of current enrollment, GPA of at least a 3.0 and your 500-word essay. Send completed application packages to Becky Blackler, BWF President at rebecca.blackler@gmail.com .
